RASTAROOTS HERBAL LIBRARY

Why The Library Exists

Herbal knowledge deserves more than a product label.

RastaRoots is building beyond tea. The Herbal Library helps people understand the plants behind the blends β€” what they taste like, where they grow, how communities have traditionally used them and what modern evidence does or does not currently support. Cultural tradition and scientific evidence are treated as related, but not identical.

Our Approach

Respect the tradition. Respect the evidence.

The Herbal Library is built around four principles.

01 β€’ Origins

Know the plant.

Botanical identity, where the plant grows and the parts commonly used in food or herbal preparations.

02 β€’ Tradition

Know the history.

Explore traditional and cultural use while being clear that historical use is not automatically proof of a modern medical effect.

03 β€’ Evidence

Know what we know.

Modern research is explained carefully, including uncertainty, evidence quality and areas where more research is still needed.

04 β€’ Ritual

Know your cup.

Understand flavour, aroma, preparation and which RastaRoots rituals feature each ingredient.

RastaRoots Guardian representing herbal knowledge and tradition

The Guardian Of Knowledge

Knowing a plant means knowing more than its benefits.

The Guardian exists to protect context. Plants have histories, flavours, communities, preparation traditions and limitations.

RastaRoots will not reduce generations of plant knowledge to exaggerated wellness headlines. The aim is to make herbal education accessible while respecting both tradition and evidence.

β€œBefore you ask what a plant can do for you, learn where it came from.”

Inside Every Full Library Entry

Every completed herb entry follows the same framework.

01
